Reflection on GOD's Hospitality

Reflection on GOD’s Hospitality.

Before coming to class I was asking myself many questions on the word. “What is Hospitality? My understanding who is God? Answer: He is the Lord of Host. Am I a hospitable person? All these questions cloud my mind in understanding hospitality and how would I define it before attending this class. I never regret spending my precious time in this class as I have pickup the in-depth of bits and pieces of understanding the foot-print of truth on who is actually behind this act of Hospitality. The Trinity “God the Father; God The Son; & God The Holy Spirit” is the Master of Hospitality. I presume this intensive module challenge me for God to grille my physical body “present in the body but absent in spirit” that means God’s Spirit. He put me into the furnace to refine me let me grow in my character and maturity, to serve the people. Because I am given the creditable gift….grace   which I could never earn. I learn that Hospitality is all about loves and caring, I will respond with gratitude to others, to be hospitable even though I may not be naturally inclined to do so. I have the desire to love, and serve Him and His people, to love, care, and be hospitable.
I Quote: “I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure. I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The LORD is our God.” Zechariah 13:9
What about cruel & wicked people I hate? Should I ignore them?  Can I invite cunning people into my home? Am I that bias?  What differences does it make between Christians and non-believers? Are they all not human? Do all Churches of GOD’s people understand the true meaning of hospitality? I see a few but not all that include me as well? How about the world people especially those who create horrible destruction of mankind are they educate with hospitality? Who should I sent God ask? There are many endless 4 “W” questions “What, Why, Which, Who, and Whom? Aiyoh! If I can think of any, I began to fall asleep…brain tired la!  Last but not the least I believe I can be Hospitality for the glory of God.
Upon reflection I realize that I play the role as ambassador, the instrument vessel of  Hospitality to others in my Church.  As Greeter my role in engaging and welcoming people as one family in Church. As Church traffic sheriff my duty on Hospitality refers to the relationship between a guests with goodwill, including the reception
Conclusion: Hospitality is a willingness to sharing and caring, starts first to myself with discernment, what God has given me, including my family, home, finances, work place and food. Food is an essential tools to feed the people. It is an attitude of stewardship, where I do not own anything because I am the caretaker of the owner, God. He desires that I share His stuff and His love, and I should comply out of reverence and gratitude to Him. As for Hospitality relationship, I am honoring the boundary of myself as well as others and sharing all I have without reward strings or attached.
